My Recommendation: Where to eat in Graskop, South Africa?

We took a break in Graskop after visiting many attractions nearby. Graskop is a ghost town after 5pm and this restaurant was the only shop that was opened for business This restaurant has traditional South African food but it targets the tourists so the price is on the higher range from R120 to R180 (6.50GBP - 9.70GBP / 7.30EUR - 11EUR). There were many people and the service was very slow. We had Bobotie (meat pie topped with egg) and Oxtail with Pap (polenta made from sweetcorn powder). The Bobotie was full of flavours: sweet and sour from the chutney and bananas, saltiness from the potatoes, mild curry on the rice and spiced meat pie. The oxtail was tender and the sauce was seasoned for the pap. I would recommend this restaurant if you take a break in Graskop and if have the patience for the slow service.

Bobotie

Oxtail with Pap
